For this project I was tasked with designing comprehensive branding and packaging for Bambu, a new conceptual perfume by Brazilian cosmetics manufacturer O Boticário.
I developed a logo and packaging schematics in Illustrator.
The main aim of the branding and the aesthetic of the packaging is to communicate the perfume's smell and concept of natural freshness.
The colour scheme is analogous, with pomona-mossy green as a primary colour and flavescent
green as a secondary colour. It serves to convey the palette of healthy nature injected with accents of energetic orange, expressing core values while keeping things clean and simple with neutrals. The user is to feel as the product is in tune with nature and will feel happy and energetic using it as the bright orange implies.

Among my research for the branding I performed market research on oBoticario's perfume's positioning within the perfume and cosmetics market and to see where it's main competition lay - namely: sustainability and healthy focussed brands in the mid price range.
Summary, Evaluation, Learnings
As my first university project, this project introduced me to the field of product design. I gained valuable experience learning colour theory, logo design and how to create packaging schematics.
Main softwares used were Illustrator and Photoshop.
